Brandon Holmes

I grew up farming pigs and dairy cows in Iowa. I came to Bigfork in 1995 to help run Eastgate, a Christian leadership training school, and stayed with it about six years. Between school sessions I worked construction, framing single-family homes and commercial buildings.

Then Flathead Valley Community College for an associate's degree, and the University of Montana in Missoula for business administration. In 2005 a Kalispell firm took me on as a trainee on commercial appraisals. Certified General in 2009, and I started Holmes Real Estate Appraisal Co. shortly after. I earned the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2013.

My wife and our children are third- and fourth-generation Montanans, born in the Mission Valley, the Flathead and Missoula. I am the one who came from somewhere else, which is why I can tell a family from out of state what the first winter is actually like.

After much prayer, my wife and I decided to expand into sales, and I joined the teams at PureWest Christie's and SVN | PureWest Commercial. The habits came along. I look at the bones first, read the comparable sales myself, and say what I found regardless of the outcome. I would be honored to earn your trust.

Two hats, kept separate. On this site and in any sale, I act as a licensed real estate agent. Appraisal work is a separate business, Holmes Real Estate Appraisal Co., and is never part of a brokerage engagement. My appraisal background shapes how I read a market; it is not an appraisal of your property.
