Columbia Falls
A working town at the park gate
Columbia Falls is the last real town before Glacier. It stayed a working small town longer than the others did, and it sits about eight miles from the airport, closer than Whitefish.
A national park at the end of the road and a mill town's housing stock. That is why the town is filling in. Prices here sit between Kalispell and the park corridor.
Nearly everything outside the city limits runs on a well and a septic, and the county wants the septic approved before anyone drills.
