Somers and Lakeside sit on the west shore, which means the sun sets across the water instead of behind you. Cherry orchards, old cabins, and a highway carrying everybody else down to Polson.

Services are thin, and that is the point of living here. There is a clinic and a grocery in Lakeside, the hospital is twenty minutes up the road in Kalispell, and the school district runs kindergarten through eighth grade.

The frontage is the price. Step off the water and the number drops, and most of what is off the water is on a well and a septic.
